If you’re going to do anything in Las Vegas — eat dinner, hit a jackpot, rob a bank — it’s always better with somebody special by your side. Fortunately, our town is full of great date ideas and cool things for couples to do.

⛰️ Hike Outdoors

The best cheap dates in Las Vegas usually involve the great outdoors. As the weather begins to cool off, you can hike the colorful sandstone of Red Rock Canyon, roam the Mars-like terrain of Valley of Fire, view the valley from Lone Mountain, or stretch out on the grass at Spring Mountain Ranch. Mt. Charleston is another great spot for a walk and picnic as we shift from summer to fall.

🖼️ Visit a Museum

Las Vegas has some unusually cool places to get your knowledge on, including the Mob Museum, Neon Museum, and Atomic Museum. Don’t overlook the Springs Preserve, which includes exhibits dedicated to nature and history. It’s also the home of the Nevada State Museum. If paintings and sculptures are more your thing, check out the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art at UNLV or the Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum, a truly special place that showcases the work of a former art professor.

🍽️ Eat at Romantic Restaurants

Whether on the Strip (enjoying the views at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant) or Downtown (receiving a red rose at Hugo’s Cellar), Las Vegas is full of romantic restaurants. But don’t hesitate to explore the multi-course dining experiences in Chinatown. Kame, Kabuto, and Yui all have extravagant omakase meals, while Kaiseki Yuzu has seasonal kaiseki dinners.

🚣 Hit the Water

The water continues to dwindle at Lake Mead, but it’s still a beautiful spot with launch ramps for boating. You can also board a paddleboat to get an up-close look at the Hoover Dam or explore the Colorado River with a kayak or raft tour. Just beware of the crowds checking out Emerald Cave.

💆 Relax in a Spa

Yes, Vegas is known for its indulgent hotel spas, but a few of them — like the Delano — offer locals discounts to take the sting off the bill. Book a couples massage and spend the day in soaking tubs, saunas, and other wellness retreats. Your best deals could be off the Strip at The M, South Point, or Red Rock Resort.
