Let’s look back at the most popular City Cast Las Vegas podcast episodes of 2025. I didn’t include Friday news roundups or the monthly guides (although for some reason, our listeners really needed stuff to do in May). With that in mind, can you guess which episode was number one? 👀

We used to love nudity in Las Vegas. What happened?

We break down a complicated rate hike in a way that’s not so complicated.

This aired during our themed Night Week, which also included fun stuff like animals who rule Vegas after dark and our struggling reputation as a 24-hour town.

The most heated debate topic of 2025.

We’re still trying to make 702 Day a thing, so we aired this on July 2.

Say goodbye to “What Happens Here, Stays Here” and hello to … whatever this was.

The gift that keeps on giving.

The not-so-Oakland A’s are moving to Las Vegas in 2028. (We think.) Will the stadium be done on time?

City Cast and ProPublica teamed up for an investigative piece on how Elon Musk’s Boring Company is tunneling beneath Las Vegas with little oversight. This discussion between co-authors Dayvid Figler and Daniel Rothberg breaks down allegations, fines, and questions on accountability, which foreshadowed our follow-up piece later in the year, revealing that Nevada regulators issued nearly 800 environmental violations against the Vegas Loop project.

You love celebrity dirt more than protecting the environment, which is probably the most “Vegas” thing ever.

  • Revisiting those ten episodes should keep you busy this holiday week, especially if you’re on the road. Need one more?
