Your Guide to February 2025 in Las Vegas

00:00:00

February may be the shortest month of the year, but it’s loaded with events and activities in Las Vegas. Need proof? Check out the following guide and begin making plans now.

🏈 Big Game Betting

If you can’t score a ticket to see the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Feb. 9, Las Vegas is the next-best place to be. Head to the nearest betting window to place a wager on the Chiefs or Eagles, then join the Strip’s biggest viewing party at Allegiant Stadium, which hosts a first-of-its-kind Super Bowl Fan Fest with games, NFL meet-and-greets, food, entertainment, and other cool stuff. Tickets are free.

🎨 Black History Month

Las Vegas celebrates Black History Month with events throughout February. Attend a presentation by the Contemporary West Dance Theatre at the Charleston Heights Arts Center (Feb. 7-8); “People of Color,” an exhibit curated by City Cast contributor Brent Holmes at the Las Vegas City Hall Chamber Gallery (Feb. 10-Aug. 7); the Black History Month Festival at Springs Preserve (Feb. 15); Black Weekend: Kemet in the Desert at the West Las Vegas Arts Center (Feb. 21-22); and more.

🍽️ Stubborn Seed

Stubborn Seed was my most anticipated restaurant opening of 2024 — and after a few delays, is now my most anticipated restaurant opening of 2025. I attended a pop-up preview dinner last year and was blown away by the quality and creativity of the dishes. “Top Chef” winner Jeremy Ford is a chef with something to prove, showcasing extravagant tasting menus with small “snacks” in between courses. Stubborn Seed opens Feb. 10 at Resorts World.

📽️ Dam Short Film Festival

The Dam Short Film Festival screens more than 150 short films over six days (Feb. 12-17) at the Elaine K. Smith Center in Boulder City. The films are divided into 60 or 90-minute blocks and grouped into categories like animation, documentary, and science-fiction.

💞 Valentine’s Day (and Galentine’s Day)

Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday this year, setting up a romantic weekend of dinners, spa visits, and long walks on Lone Mountain. But Galentine’s Day seems to be picking up steam, bringing together gal pals a day earlier on Feb. 13 for a fun night out without the dudes. Electra Cocktail Club even has an open champagne bar for ladies 9-11 p.m.

🥒 The Power of Pickleball

Pickleball continues to be the fastest-growing sport in Las Vegas. Join a Love For All, Pickleball tournament at Durango Hills Park on Feb. 15 and see tennis legends get in on the action when the Pickleball Slam returns to Mandalay Bay Feb. 16.

😋 Asian Food Festivals

Celebrate Lunar New Year in Las Vegas as the holiday continues through Feb. 16. I’m most excited about the food — including two Asian culinary festivals taking place the same weekend. The Dream Asia Food Fest is at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, just a block south of the Fremont Street Experience, with an opportunity to sample vendors from out of town (Feb. 14-16). Asian Night Market at The M Resort will have more familiar local favorites like China Mama, Daeho, and Buldogis.
