Who’s to Blame When Your Local Walgreens Closes?
Retail pharmacies like CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens are shuttering hundreds of stores across the country. Las Vegas isn’t immune: This Thursday, November 9th, the Walgreens at Charleston and Las Vegas Blvd is closing its doors for good. Neighborhood reactions are divided: We asked locals to call in, and today, host Dayvid Figler and acclaimed author Kim Foster, who both live near the embattled Walgreens, sit down to discuss your thoughts and reactions. Is retail theft really to blame? Is it corporate mismanagement or the hefty opioid settlements levied on these brands? And what happens now?
