Nevada lawmakers are considering a major overhaul of how recreational marijuana gets taxed, but is there a bigger issue that nobody is talking about? Nevada Current reporter Michael “MJ” Lyle and criminal defense attorney and writer Dayvid Figler join Jesse Merrick to dive into the ways the legal weed market has matured and how that should alter the way the state relies on it to fund education. Then we make the case for why Nevada Day deserves more love in Southern Nevada than it gets and offer up some great ways to celebrate it in and around the valley. Plus, in our weekend lookahead, MJ and Dayvid offer up a couple of spooky performances worth catching before you dive into your Halloween plans.
