Most Las Vegans had never heard of Carter Hart until the Vegas Golden Knights released a cryptic statement announcing a trial period with the Canadian goalie, pledging commitment to their "core values." As it turns out, Hart and four other defendants were recently acquitted in a sexual assault trial that became one of Canada's biggest sports controversies. So why it make so few waves in Las Vegas — and how did Carter Hart's case change hockey? Co-host Dayvid Figler and executive producer Sonja Cho Swanson talk with CBC reporter Kate Dubinski about what Hart's contract says about how professional sports organizations are grappling with consent, power, and justice.
