The Governor’s Ethics, State Senator DUI, and Vegas Goes on 'Sale'
After years of back and forth, the Nevada Commission on Ethics and Governor Joe Lombardo have finally settled their dispute over his use of LVMPD "accoutrements" in campaign materials (like his sheriff's badge and uniform) — and what started as a $1.6 million fine has dropped down to a $5,000 "donation." So was the complaint justified to begin with, and what precedent does this settlement set? Executive producer Sonja Cho Swanson talks it out with Battle Born Progress press secretary Jacob Solis and Hey Las Vegas newsletter editor Rob Kachelriess. They also discuss the fallout from state senator Edgar Flores's DUI charge and the "fabulous" 5-day Las Vegas hospitality sale that maybe, just maybe, fell a little flat.
