| The F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is back for its fourth year in a row Nov. 19-21, bringing top drivers and fans to the city for a high-octane weekend. At 3.8 miles around, the Strip circuit is the second-longest track on the Formula 1 season calendar, and racers will complete 50 laps at speeds around 215 mph. The Grand Prix Race itself is Saturday at 8 PST, while the other two evenings will consist of practice sessions starting at 4:30 p.m., and the official qualifying wave on Friday at 8. [Formula 1, Vegas4Locals] | - What's new this year: The Backstreet Boys will headline the first-ever after-party at the Sphere on Saturday night. There are also new fan zones and grandstands, changes to car regulations, and an expanded business summit. [Formula 1, Caesars Palace]
- How to watch: You can get tickets here. Some packages run into the hundreds or even thousands of dollars, but standing-room seats are still available, starting at $81 for single-day admission. You can also watch on F1 TV Pro, or keep your eye out for our roundup of watch parties closer to race weekend.
- Other things to do: The F1 Arcade at the Forum Shops will be open all race week, and the Neon City Festival will also be taking place that week. Check out this guide for more activities, and other cool race stuff in Vegas that isn't Formula 1. [LA Times, City Cast Las Vegas โ๏ธ]
- How to get around: The installation of the temporary Flamingo bridge over Koval will start this weekend; you can use Tropicana or Sands avenues for an east-west detour. There will also be overnight lane closures on the Strip and its corridors while track lighting is set up. During the event, the monorail will likely be the best way to get around the Strip.
