| What Las Vegas's Talking About |
| 🗳️ Proof Please, Mr. President | Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar is formally asking the Trump administration for evidence that nearly 16,000 noncitizens could be registered to vote in the Silver State. Aguilar disputed the allegation last week on City Cast Las Vegas — and is concerned that some lawful voters could be misclassified by the federal government due to the naturalization process or “imperfect” records. [Nevada Independent] | | 💰 Kalshi Under Pressure to Enforce Ban | Despite a Nevada ban, customers in the state are still finding a way to place transactions on Kalshi, a prediction market platform that accepts wagers on everything from sports to political events. The company has now agreed to install geo-fencing technology by Aug. 12 to block Nevada users. If not, Kalshi faces fines of $120,000 a day. [KVVU] | | 🥍 Lacrosse Movement Misses Goal | The protracted campaign to get lacrosse into local high schools will have to wait a little longer. A Nevada bill sanctioning the sport went into effect this year, but the Clark County School District is pausing the rollout until 2027. [KLAS] | | 💍 Marjorie Taylor … Glenn? | Marjorie Taylor Greene left Congress, the Republican Party, and the single life all within the same year. The former congresswoman — and fanatical supporter of President Trump before the two had a falling out — married conservative journalist Brian Glenn at the Bellagio. The couple did it right, getting hitched on the lakeside terrace and playing a round of craps afterwards. [TMZ] |
